How to use Antegrade IR Platform

How to assemble the Antegrade IR Platform

Screw the legs onto threads on the underside of the platform. Twist firmly to ensure they are secure.

How to attach the leg extension

The optional leg extensions are compatible with both the Retrograde IR Platform (Narrow), and the Antegrade IR Platform. Use them if additional height is required, for an extra 100 mm of lift.

To attach, screw the open-ended side of the blue leg extension on the threaded end of the leg. Twist until tight and secure. Then, screw the extension onto the threaded slots on the underside of the relevant IR Platform. Twist firmly to ensure all connections are secure.

How to set up the Antegrade IR Platform and position the patient

Insert the two bases underneath the operator side (patient's left) of the mattress. Position one under the shoulder and neck, and the other approximately 930mm higher up the mattress above the patient's head. Ensure the grooves are visible.

Place the platform over the patient with the longer edge on the patient's left. Align the legs with the grooves in the bases then push the blue locking clips to secure.

The two remaining legs on the patient's right will rest directly on the mattress.

Slide the full platform up or down the patient for your ideal placement.

The patient's eyes should be visible through the L-shaped window created by the narrow section of the platform, with the narrow section positioned over the patient's shoulder.

How to adjust the Antegrade IR Platform height

Twist the blue collar on each of the legs anti-clockwise to unlock. This allows the platform to rise for increased height. Push down on the platform to lower it. When the preferred height is reached, twist the blue collar clockwise to lock each leg.

Use the optional leg extensions if further height adjustment is required.

Positioning for left or right leg access

The Antegrade IR Platform is designed to work on both the left or right leg of the patient. Wires will easily transition across the patients pelvic region and in to the leg being accessed.

How to configure the Antegrade IR Platform with other Adept Medical devices

The Drape Support can be used with the Antegrade IR Platform to create more space beneath the drape, improving patient comfort and preventing sagging over the face. Slide the Drape Support baseboard under the mattress on the patient’s right to align with the face and neck, then adjust the tilt to suit the preferred position.

The Adducted Arm Scoops can also be used with the Antegrade IR Platform to support the patient’s arms on narrow imaging tables.

How to store the device?
